Bali, Osaka, Tokyo: Chris Coco's global map
Two Bali-inspired albums, a Japan-only CD for an Osaka cafe and a song with a Japanese jazz musician: the world-music thread in the catalogue.

Balearic music has always borrowed from everywhere. Chris Coco's own catalogue shows the habit clearly.
Bali, twice
- Return To Good Karma (2017): "Ambient album inspired by the magical island of Bali, Indonesia."
- Jamu (2021): "Deep, ambient, experimental, collaborative work inspired by the island of Bali."
Japan
- Cafe Que Sera Sera (2016): a limited-edition, Japan-only CD made for Cafe Que Sera Sera in Osaka.
- Leap Year, on Daydream Utopia (2024), was made with jazz musician Yoshiharu Takeda.
- Tokyo Ame, on the same album, is a conversation between lovers in Tokyo and London.
Ibiza to Buenos Aires
Island Vibrations (2023), with George Solar, was built on Nyabinghi, Guaguancó and One Drop rhythms. It was recorded in Ibiza, with parts added in Buenos Aires and London.
And the language of it all
His 2020 album is called Music As A Foreign Language: "Deep electronica including A Suitcase Full Of Stars." It's a fair summary of the whole map.
